How It Works

The Ideate Explorer for Revit tool gives you an easy, intuitive and profound way to search, quantify and select elements in a Revit BIM. This indispensible Revit add-on was developed specifically for the Revit community and works to compliment the features in Revit® Architecture, Revit® Structure, and Revit® MEP. MEP Enhancement

THUMB_mep_enhance

Autodesk Revit MEP 2011 has taken leaps ahead of previous revisions, and so has Ideate Explorer. Building elements can now be sorted and viewed by MEP zone and space. Details list now includes Zone and Space properties, and the Instance List view include a Zone and Space column. In addition, building element types are now displayed in searches: Cable Trays, Cable Tray Fittings and Conduit Fittings.

Deep Drill-down Capability

You can document, quantify, view and sort building elements by category, family, type or level, room and even individual instance. Examine and change your current selection, inspect the current view or the entire project and even build a complex selection from scratch. Zoom to individual building elements and visually explore your model. 10,000+ elements suddenly become completely manageable.

Project Auditing

You can detect the inconsistent use of families with the click of your mouse. As you audit your projects, you can easily implement your preferred graphical or CAD standards. Non-uniformities of style turn into beautiful consistencies with only a few keystrokes.

You can also find hidden elements such as DWGs, isolate them, return to Revit to delete them and then confirm the deletion with Explorer. Think of the hours, uncertainty and file space saved.

Super-intuitive Interface

You explore in familiar ways—the way you find tunes in your music collection, locate hard drive files and search via Google. You can find, isolate and view tens of thousands of elements—the way you want. Then narrow your search results fast thanks to a powerful text search engine.
